The UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 (MSA) received Royal Assent in March 2015. The Act requires that ‘commercial organisations’ providing‘ goods or services, with a turnover of greater than £36 million to publish a ‘Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement’.
The Companies Act 2006 places disclosure obligations on listed companies to report on their social, community, environmental issues and human rights issues. They are also required to develop key performance indicators.
